How a tip travels: pay rewards without names

The sixth of seven short articles following a tip through the whole life of a program. The fifth covered referrals.

A reward attaches to the tip, not to a person. It is approved and paid against the tip code, with no name or ID ever required. The reporter picks it up the same way they reported it: give the tip code to a teller for an envelope, or receive a prepaid card. There is no separate payout code.
